“As members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockville Centre affirm that we are followers of Jesus Christ and the message of the Gospels which call us to an always deepening relationship with God and to lives of mercy, compassion, and reconciliation founded on love toward all people, especially the most marginalized.
Therefore, we the members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockville Centre, welcome all who are seeking God. We welcome all because God welcomes all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, relationship status, race or culture.
We affirm with the apostle Paul that in Christ “there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female” (Galatians 3:28)
Believing that all are one in Christ Jesus, and aware that lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender, persons have been excluded in some congregations, we welcome, accept, and embrace our sisters and brothers in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.
We pledge to ourselves and to all others that we will strive to live as a reconciling people in imitation of Jesus Christ, in our life together, and in our outreach to the world.”
