Deepening & Expanding Worship: A Worship Planning Supplement
ReconcilingWorks Resource

A highly requested resource, to supplement worship planning for a more inclusive service. Compiled from the 2017 - 2020 Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Sunday Resources, ReconcilingWorks has gathered Prayers of the People, Hymn and Reading Suggestions, Children's Message topics, and much more. To better welcome, include, and celebrate your LGBTQIA+ siblings in worship settings, we hope that you will use these suggestions in your planning, and help spark creativity in cultivating a space that truly welcomes ALL.

2025 Advent Devotional
ReconcilingWorks Resource

ReconcilingWorks is delighted to share a brand-new free Advent Devotional to accompany you through this sacred season of hope, peace, joy, and love. Written by Rev. "An LGBTQIA+ Stations of the Cross Lenten Journey" 2021 Devotional
ReconcilingWorks Resource

This resource is intended to be a way to live into knowing how God has gone before us. It is up to us, as the hands and feet of the Divine, to allow our hearts and minds to be transformed and in so doing, we transform the world as it is in this moment into a place where all are truly welcome and celebrated. Just as God has already gone before us to prepare the place, as we walk through the journey of Lent toward Holy Week, let us be reminded that the experience of faith, hope, and love, lived out in our everyday lives, is not only the promise God has made to us, but the promise we make to one another as we live into, celebrate, and become our most authentic selves. For printing, we suggest this printer-friendly version with a white background.

Liturgy of Welcome
ReconcilingWorks Resource

A liturgy service celebrating the inclusiveness of God's love and grace, created by Kenny Callaghan for the 2016 ReconcilingWorks RIC Sunday Service. Dedicated to the people who have felt marginalized, abandoned or rejected by the Church.

Scripture

Reconciling Scripture for Lutherans: On Sexuality & Gender Identity
ReconcilingWorks Resource

A short commentary which takes into account biblical integrity and knowledge, key Lutheran interpretative lenses, and the diverse experiences of the LGBTQ+ community. Written by Rev. Emmy Kegler and Austen Hartke, this commentary addresses eight of the so-called “clobber passages” used to exclude LGBTQ+ people from the body of Christ, and finishes with eight Bible passages that offer inclusive and expansive understandings of the nature of God’s welcome. Our hope is that these interpretations, based in scripture, tradition, and reason, may lead to a deeper understanding of our LGBTQ+ siblings in Christ and continued acts of reconciliation within God’s family.
