A New RIC Community: Peace and Hope (Blacksburg, VA)

Help ReconcilingWorks welcome the newest Reconciling in Christ (RIC) community: Peace and Hope (Blacksburg, VA).

Their welcome statement reads:

“At Peace and Hope, we are a community of followers of Jesus Christ who gather to deepen our faith through worship and faith formation. Not everyone is at the same place on their journey and we will always walk alongside each other as we grow. As people of God, we do not have all the answers to all faith questions nor do we expect that everyone will agree on all matters of faith life. That’s okay with us because God made us each unique and provides us with our own life experiences that form who we are!

We are a community committed to the work of racial equity, bringing justice for all of God’s beloved people. We welcome those who are seeking God’s love and grace for the first time or as a life long believer. We welcome because Jesus shows us how to welcome in the gospels, regardless of race or culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, or relationship status. We welcome all people without regard to addictions, physical or mental health, imprisonment, socio-economic circumstances, political affiliations, or anything that too often divides us.
