A New RIC Community: The Lutheran Center (Lincoln, NE)

Help ReconcilingWorks welcome the newest Reconciling in Christ (RIC) community: The Lutheran Center (Lincoln, NE).

Their welcome statement reads:

“From the beginning, God created with great diversity. God loves people of every race, ethnicity, class, age, national origin, documentation status, socio-economic status, criminal record, mental or physical health status, size, ability status, sex, sexual orientation, relationship status or practice, gender identity, and gender expression.

Striving to reflect and embody God’s love, The Lutheran Center acknowledges the uniqueness of every person. Everyone is welcome to bring their whole selves into this worship space and community. We are intentional in practicing welcome.

To build and maintain an inclusive culture, we practice confession and forgiveness and commit to cultivating a community of justice and equity for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ people, and individuals of all experiences. We hold one another accountable to love our neighbor through ongoing education and the intentional pursuit of physical, emotional, and spiritual safety for those in our community. We recognize that we, individually and as a community, have room to grow in living out God’s radical love, trusting that God is guiding us through this journey of welcoming all.
