Help ReconcilingWorks welcome the newest Reconciling in Christ (RIC) community: Lutheran Campus Ministry at Northern Michigan University (Marquette, MI).
Their welcome statement reads:
“In following our Lord we, the Lutheran Campus Ministry at Northern Michigan University (ELCA), affirm the worth and dignity of all persons regardless of their gender identity, race, sexual orientation, or any other category society uses to differentiate between people.
We welcome gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, transgender, and questioning persons to full involvement in the activities of our campus ministry and encourage their enthusiastic participation in the life of the whole church.
Our facilities and ministry programming will intentionally be a safe space, open to all students, staff, and faculty, regardless of their gender, race, sexual orientation, or any other category society uses to differentiate between people.
We will work to foster understanding and acceptance of gay, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, and transgender people through our campus ministry activities and our involvement at Northern Michigan University and in the community.”
