Their welcome statement reads:
“You are welcome at Faith Lutheran Church, you and your sexual orientation, gender identity, race, culture, and economic circumstances. If you are addicted, sick, or disabled, you may find that some of us are too. If you struggle with religion and faith, you may find that some of us do too. In this church we do not teach scripture and doctrines as a system by which to judge a person, or their faith. But we are rooted in Christian teachings and in the story of Jesus, who said, ‘Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him’ (John 3:17). Our invitation is as flawed as we are, but we know that Jesus Christ wants your help in making God’s love known throughout the world.”
