Intersex Awareness Day invites us to honor the beauty, diversity, and dignity of intersex people — those born with variations in sex characteristics that don’t fit typical definitions of “male” or “female.”
As people of faith, we affirm that all bodies are wonderfully made in God’s image. Intersex people are beloved, whole, and worthy of respect and celebration.
Today and every day, may we listen to intersex voices, advocate for bodily autonomy and justice, and ensure that our communities are places where every person’s body and story are welcomed without exception.
