Harvey Milk (First openly gay elected politician in America) 1930 – 1978
“It takes no compromise to give people their rights. It takes no money to respect the individual. It takes no survey to removed repressions.”
“If you are not personally free to be yourself in that most important of all human activities – the expression of love – then life itself loses its meaning.”

June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) month. This month is a time of celebration, but also recognition of those who have participated in the journey toward equality, justice, and the freedom to love without fear. Each day of this month we will be spotlighting one of the people who has taken a stand in the struggle toward inclusion and acceptance for all.
