ReconcilingWorks remembers the horrific tragedy at Pulse Nightclub and honor the 49 beloved lives stolen, the countless survivors, and all those whose hearts were forever changed by that night.
Pulse was more than a nightclub. It was a sacred space of joy, belonging, celebration, and community—especially for LGBTQIA+ people, and deeply for the Latinx queer community. An attack on Pulse was an attack on a community seeking safety, freedom, and the simple gift of being fully themselves.
As we remember, we also lament that violence, hatred, and harmful rhetoric continue to threaten LGBTQIA+ lives. Memory calls us not only to grief, but to action.
At ReconcilingWorks, we remain committed to building communities where LGBTQIA+ people are not merely welcomed, but celebrated, protected, and empowered to live fully as God’s beloved.
We remember.
We grieve.
