LJR Theologians Roundtable

TEACHING THEOLOGIANS ROUNDTABLE

Thank you for agreeing to participate in the Teaching Theologian Roundtable. This is the first concerted effort to bring together teaching theologians to discuss the complex theological, biblical, pastoral, and ethical issues facing the ELCA around issues of gender and justice as we move forward together. These teaching theologians will include ELCA college and seminary professors who work with college students and seminary candidates, and have shown long-standing support for GLBTQ Lutherans in their scholarship and teaching.

The Teaching Theologian Roundtable is incorporated into Let Justice Roll Down Like Waters, the Lutherans Concerned/North America Biennial Assembly and Reconciling in Christ Conference. The Assembly is July 8-11 at Augsburg College in Minneapolis.

The complete schedule for Let Justice Roll Down Like Waters is here.

The Teaching Theologian Roundtable will meet separately on Friday, July 9 from 9:00-2:30 and Saturday, July 10 from 9:00-2:30. Participation includes a full registration for the Let Justice Roll Down Like Waters assembly.  See the menu on the right for all of the details about this assembly.

We extend a special invitation to our teaching theologians to participate in the worship service on July 10 at Central Lutheran Church in downtown Minneapolis. Clergy may process (the color is green). Transportation will be provided.

Thanks to an anticipated grant from the Arcus Foundation, LC/NA is able to cover the costs for registration, meals, lodging, and travel.
